Another great reason to take these courses into consideration is because they focus on key aspects that are not covered when you study to become an RN. The BSN also teaches you how to cope with more intense medical situations. In truth you are going to have to learn to cope with a whole new world, so you may as well attempt an RN-MSN program. This course is particularly useful for RNs who want to improve the CVs. This program is tailor-made so that an RN avoids an overlap from needing to go through a BSN program first before continuing to MSN. You can really climb the ranks with an MSN as you will become an APN, or advanced practice nurse. If you have any Bachelors qualification you can enroll in this course. A Direct Entry MSN program allows non-nurses to jump into the nursing profession equipped with a Master’s degree, as long as they have a bachelor’s degree in a related field. Unlike other degree options, the Direct Entry MSN only takes three years to finish, which gives you the freedom to select multiple fields of study. Because of the way the Direct Entry MSN course has been formulated you can make this move very smoothly. The final years are spent getting ready for taking your RN license exam. MSN students (RN, BSN, or non-nurse) are given several specializations to choose from, which include health care administration, nurse administration, management, and education. You have a lot of freedom to follow your heart and natural talent with this course. Follow your past experience and passions when selecting which aspect of nursing you will be entering. People who complete the Nurse Educator specialization will be ready to spread information amongst the ill and their relatives, their fellow nurses, and even physicians. Because Masters in Nursing is such a complete qualification, you will be ready to take on any aspect of nursing, including more serious issues of policy and insurance. In terms of skill, the next level up from an APN is a doctor of nursing practice.
